hy everyone! I'm new in the forum but I have been reading it for weeks, it helped me a lot to finally decide. sooo as you can guess from the title I have new dreads, never had them before but is like I should have had them my entire life. so tell me what you think, any advice, comment, etc. is veeery welcome oh! almost forgot, here's a pick of them (sorry if it's not to good) bye!
thanks for posting I didn't use wax, just backcombed my hair all by myself, no one wanted to help me, how sad is that hopefully I'll have them for a long looong time
so I found out how to post bigger images tey are only 4 days old now, already washed them one time (I'm use to wash my hair everyday so at day two I was already freaking out with the itching) this is the back of my head, some dreads are "inclined" to one side, but they are adjusting themselves. my left side, the fuzzy one and this is just me smiling, 'cause I'm happy with my dreads
yeah they look great! im so glad you didnt use wax cause that stuff can ruin dreads in the long run. your a pretty girl. wish ya luck on your dread journey =]
sooo, it's been a week now since I got them have washed them twice already (last time with the baking soda mix), none came off . I also used some aloe vera gel, it helped with the frizz. and wraped my pillow in a whool sweater, a little itchy but it helps keeping them in place. other than that I haven“t do anything else. so tell me what you think, anything will be deeply apreciated have to wear them up (or like in the photo) and cover the roots with a scarf or I get some mean looks
Now why can't everyone else get things right first time without posting a fuckton of "OMGICANTWASHMYHAIR!!!!!!" threads first, then leaving because they got trolled / flamed. Truly you are a turn up for the books.
haha yeah, and I just washed them .... AGAIN! I already knew that people with dreads DO wash their hair plus I like to do some research before doing something important (like dreading my hair). oh and that expression "turn up for the books", had no idea what it ment (not a native english speaker), now I know...and thank you very much I'm flattered. Now I'll just wait and hope they look good.
