it's not that being a good friend is hard, i just have my own priorities and not enough time to dedicate to myself and to hanging out with a bunch of people all the time and listening to all their problems and whatnot. what ever happened to dealing with your own issues?
The first part is fine, but here, it seems like you're asking a little much. Unless they're hired friends =)
Because lending emotional support isnt anything? 2am, a dozen Vodka and Lemonades later, mascara running down your face, holding your hair back, providing emotional support in between faceplants to the toilet bowl. Sounds rather exhausting to me

Yeah, this is true. We can put some heavy expectations on each other and forget we're all human. I find laughing at our faults and looking at ourselves as clumsy beings really helps with that
