i think it would be cool, if we introduced chloroplast into our cells so we could use photosynthesis. the only thing is we would have to increase our surface area somehow. but it would still be cool. if you get tired just go sun bathe a little and you are recharged. imagine a race of slightly green humans with leaf like appendages. fucking crazy.
His cells which contained chloroplasts was similar in structure to a vegetable although his brood feed off blood So is this the future you envision for us Hotwater
the fruit is most likely edible, but it wouldn't be like eating your arm, you don't eat the branch of a fruit tree, you know. but, who knows?
I read a book when I was in elementary school that was based on a boy who figured out a way to do this. He turned green and all that good stuff, grew roots while he was in the shower at one point, or maybe that was when he was standing in some grass.
Eating the fruit would be like eating babies...unless we would still reproduce the same way. I would be afraid to eat fruit off people. Diseases could be spread that way... I happy with the way thing are. No leaves, no fruit.
So instead we all start to expire from diseases that kill vegetation.....can not see much improvement over where we already are.
now that i think about it, i don't think we would produce fruit, because all of our energy would go into controlling our organs, and moving around and such. so none left for fruit.
no we are made from the same molecules that we currently have, we just have chloroplast along with our mitochondria, to give us energy from the sun, and proteins. but in order for us to be able to fully utilize the photosynthesis we would need to increase or surface area, hints the flat leaf like appendages.
We would then be susceptible to the same issues plants are. You can not make molecular changes and not be prone to what happens in the natural cycle of that.
True and personally I’m not to keen on the idea of suffering from verticillium wilt like my tomato plants Hotwater
