i just think she's beautiful. but then again, i have an unusual sense of beauty. i find beauty in things other people don't..
You have been posting on the HipForums for 6 years and you do not know who Joan Baez is? I hope you do not drive or I fear you'll miss the red light and hit somebody.
well i know the name... just like the words "ani difranco" are permanently embedded into my brain even though to my knowledge i've never seen her or heard her sing. besides, for the 6 years i've been here (more like 3.5 if you don't count hiatuses) i've almost exclusively stuck to random thoughts, which historically has been where people go to get away from the hippie cliches.
I think she's beautiful too and she looks damn good for her age now. But mostly, her voice is very beautiful.
Who's ani difranco? I've never heard of that chica before. Ok, seriously...your dreams are going to come true today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_Kx62PhHlA&feature=related"]YouTube - Ani DiFranco Unplugged: A Billboard Exclusive I would say she is quite beautiful (ok, maybe twenty years ago). P.S: Fair enough.
i feel as though my life is now complete. she's actually not bad, based on this one video, although there are people who do her style of music better than this.
when somebody calls somebody beautiful, it's not always only about physical appearance. her beauty is so much more than how she looks. ahhhh <3 she's my idol.
Comments by the younger crowd on Youtube and elsewhere about the female pop singers from the 60s sometimes say that the voices sound weird, such as too deep, like a guy, too expressive, overly emotional. It may stem from being exposed only to the hollowed-out, techno, tin-can, manufactured, synthesized, cookie-cutter, soulless, bubble-gum pop tunes recorded by talentless wonders that the modern corporate recording industry pushes on the general public. Then again, who knows. .
i was waiting for this... i really don't have an answer; it's not my kind of music so i don't know the major players. i just know i've heard songs of the same genre that were better to listen to. hell, for all i know they may have actually been her, just singing better songs.
