I'm curious to know what people's first acid trips were like. Where were you? Who were you with? How old were you? Describe the experience, what you thought, felt, saw, etc. Did it have a lasting impact on your life?
I was 18 with 3 other people. I was the only one taking LSD the other 3 were all smoking weed though. I took 2 hits of LSD. We drove out to fish ranch road on this cliff in the berkely hills which overlooks the San francisco bay. I came up to listening to shpongle and buckled my seat belt while we parked and my buddy said "what are you doing? We aren't going anywhere" and I replied "trust me I think its a good idea." I felt like I the car was moving and we were floating over the bay and saw lots of patterning grids in the sky. I felt like I knew those 3 my entire life but I really met the girls just earlier that year and had significant time distortion. We listened to some beatles after shpongle, they smoked out a bit and we chilled some more then took the girls back. I ended up meeting up with a different friend cause the stoners all went home. I waited in a car with him for awhile to get directions to the party and saw ivy growing on a wall in time with a 2pac song and also started getting cevs. We went to this party eventually some dude was playing "breaking the girl" by rhcp which sounded absolutley amazing. I saw these triangular eye formations on a marble countertop and saw my Italian friend grow whiskers like a cat and mainly chilled on a couch for the rest of the party. It was a good introduction to LSD but I had taken shrooms prior to this and it didn't feel revelatory or anything. When I took 3 hits of that same batch the following trip, is when I truly discovered the power of LSD.
I can't remember my first acid trip in detail, it was too long ago and just one hit of purple microdot. I do remember it was a hot summer day, walking around my neighborhood with friends, barefoot, watching tracers, laughing and generally being a kid, but on acid haha. I was 15 and took acid for the sole purpose of seeing what LSD was like. It was extremely popular and everywhere at the time (the early 70's). I took acid maybe 20 times, always with my best friend. We had a lot of fun together but also took it in a couple bad settings, like at a concert. I remember being paranoid and thought everyone was "in on it" and I was going to get busted. The concert was extremely colorful and beautiful though, it was just the crowd that gave a bad vibe. One hit of windowpane was always the standard dose. The real macho guys took two, tops. I just don't see how anyone could take the amounts I read here. We had one guy in our neighbor hood who took 8 hits and was permenetly fried. I kinda wish I could find a low dose and try it now. I loved the adenture of an acid trip. Each one was unique and special, like a special slice of life separate from the rest of reality. I had only one profound trip but that was because I tripped alone and stared at a poster for hours and went inward. That's the cool thing about LSD, you could decide ahead of time how to direct what the Experience would be like. Sometimes however, Lucy didn't always agree with your decision and would take you on a different ride.
i was waiting for it for at least 10 hours one day when i finally found out there was going to be some in town....went over to my friends apartment and dropped 3 hits around 1 in the morning. next thing i remember i was watching adult swim and time was going by really fast, i stood up and looked at my reflection in the window and i remember that was the closest i had ever gotten to leaving my body, i felt like i was about to fly....then all this FUCKED up shit started coming on the tv (people killing each other, death, death, death, bleeding fetus's, death) and my friend suggested that we left the house with no place to go at 3 am. so i start driving and it seems like its a fucking blizzard outside in the middle of the summer, so much visual snow, then all the sudden everything got crazy. We got tailed by 3 cops at 3 separate times and i was tripping to the point where i couldnt speak a sentence, it was sketch. Eventually i came down watching the sun rise, decided to dose again and went to work delivering pizzas. Fun shit, ill never forget that trip
It was 1976 and I took 3 purple microdot that were about 175-200 mics each, so a pretty hefty dose for a first timer. A couple hours after dropping I was having the usual strobe like tracers and the carpet and ceiling were pulsing with patterns, yada, yada, the usual fair. My friend shows up with some red Lebanese hash, so we smoked a bowl and I had 3-4 hits. Well that sent the visuals into overdrive! We were listening to Yessongs and the song "And You and I" was playing and the record was warped and cast a reflection on the wall and I was following the bright spot of the reflection as it went around on the wall. (side note, when a vinyl record casts a reflection like that the grooves tend to refract the light into a rainbow effect) So I was staring at this rainbow swirling on the wall with a bright spot that rose and fell due to the warped LP. Then it blended into and engulfed the whole wall, then the entire room and with my eyes wide open everything just vanished and I was only aware of white light. I sat engulfed in this "whiteness" just a point of consciousness amongst the light. Then something in me realized that I was "leaving" and I sat up and leaned forward and said "Come Back!" I looked towards my friend who was no more than 8 feet away and I saw him at the end of a tunnel comprised of a never ending display of the room we were in, I guess like a fractal image, and he was about the size of an ant. I zoomed through this tunnel and overshot my own body and went all the way to my friends face and our noses touched and just as quickly I snapped back into my body. Well the circus started then! What were amorphous patterns on the ceiling were now a very detailed spirals made up of Gremlins, not the movie but the little logo from the Gremlin car, anyone remember those? Swirling endlessly and laughing as they switched from orange to red and back. My friend now had red spots swirling all around his face. The carpeted stereo stand, I know, so '60's, now had knights on horse back jousting on it, that is the only recurring visual I've ever had. Every time I tripped after that, that stand had knights jousting. The trails off everything would last for what seemed like minutes. The coolest thing was when Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd ran off the TV screen, around the room and back into the TV. The clouds outside were constantly morphing into faces and animals while shifting colors. All in all it was an outstanding experience and changed my views of reality immensely. It was all very positive and mirthful. I have never had an experience that full blown visually since.
ate 3 hits of strong stuff. 3 hours into it i'm thinking it's weak or bunk, i'm just giggly and relaxed and silly. smoke a joint OH FU-
i took one white blotter with a girl i was fucking at that time (in my life, not that exact time), her sister, and a hippy we had all just met the weekend before or something. it was pretty awesome. i recall laying on carpeted stairs listening to my favorite band 311 sound like they never sounded before. i think i was 19
Ate 4 hits over the course of an hour. About 2 hours in, I just feel real funny, nothing much is happening though. So I ask myself, "whens this shit gonna kick.... innn? Oohhhh shiiiiiiiit! I look down at my arm and my hair is just growing up and down fluidly, and I look around the room and everything is moving. I watched fear in loathing in las vegas just tripping and geeking for awhile. Then I drove home and the neighborhood was like a video game. Mail boxes and basketball hoops on the side of the road would pop up only as I got by them. When I got home I melted into the floor and became part of it. Then I started freaking out because I couldn't stop thinking about what happens when we die. So I went back and forth all night switching back and forth "oh sweet I'm tripping wooooo" to "oh no were gonna die and have our eyes eaten by worms noooo". Fun, but really intense and sort of a bad vibe, but defiantly monumental experience.
My first trip was probably my second favorite, I took the 3 hits and 30 minutes later, everything was vibrating, I looked at my water bottle and it was moving by itself. For most of the trip, I just sat in my room and looked at everything. The designs on my wooden walls were swirling and moving. I played Halo 3 for part of the trip and it was boring. I thought a lot about the world. The megalomania certainly took it's toll on me. I thought everything had a mind of it's own, hidden messages, and was alive.
Well this was a while ago if we are talking first trips...but the memorable things are: Watching the incredibly bad b-movie "basket case" while waiting for it to kick in. A chick in the movie was wearing this awful wig and I kept saying "wow man look at that wig" and my friends were like "STFU". Something about that wig made me laugh ALLOT. Walking to another friends house while tripping and looking at the stop sign on the corner, which as I was walking towards it everything else got closer, except the stop sign, which managed to stay the same distance as when I first focused on it. When I got right next to the stop sign and reached out to touch it my arm seemed to stretch a 1/4 mile to reach it. At my other friends house she had made all these beautifully painted paper mache dragonflies. (she was in art school) I watched them fly all over the kitchen. It was not scary or threatening, actually somewhat whimsical. We (all 5 of us) wanted to be outside. It was dark out and I was so into watching all the houses "breathing". I felt as if everything was alive, and that we were all connected to each other. I could go on and on into a trip report, but those are just a few memories of my first time hanging with Lucy. I was 15. If I could live my life over, I would do it again, exactlly the same setting with the same people. Yeah...and do not drive on cid...your perception is way too altered to be handling a huge piece of flesh eating metal
I was kind of dissapointed in my first trip, I walked out of the arcade waiting for the world to transform into "Yellow Submarine". By my later standards it was really weak white blotter, all I got was a few good visuals of the funky aztec runes in my jeans, and a good giggle fest involving a piece of pizza, while a couple of my straight friends looked on wondering what was so funny. My second was way, way, better, my buddy came back from a Grateful Dead concert with a sheet, and he gave me a quad because I had told him that I thought I was immune. As I sat on the couch in my family's apartment lobby(I was scared of the elevator) watching the rows of mailboxes curve and warp, I came to know the true nature of the "holy dose"
my first trip was actually about two years ago on new years day. new years eve me and my buddy were drinking at his brothers and i randomly was like "i wonder if my brother has any acid"..turns out he did and ended up giving me 5 red geltabs for 30, i only wanted to get 3 but he sold me the rest cause it was all he had left. anyway we both split it, ate 2 1/2 each. and i will NEVER forget this trip ever...i remember listening to comfortably numb in the dark as the trip came on and looked up and it was like i was in a ware house haha... had some bad vibes but eric clapton brought me out :sifone: such an awsome night
^^^pink floyd can be pretty weird. it was "too much" for me on this one 2ce trip. my most recent L trip i heard a cover band playing time as i got first alerts. at an outdoor festival, it was sweet 25hits?!
