This summer, I met an interesting woman at the theatre class. We both find each other interesting, and I also find her smart.

We both create talk to each others and I helped her to buy a second hand car out side of class time.

I want to continue to develop our friendship after the class is finished.

How can I continue our friendship? I am over 30 and this is the second time I have friendship with a female that I like. (The first time it burned big time)

I don't want to appear as a creep or something.

If you already have had that bit of contact it should be easier. Invite her to something, in a public place and get to know her even more.

What if I don't want to invite her to something for the sake of invite her.

I am not that comfortable in public.

Then it is going to be difficult to have any relationship.

Guess you could talk on the phone, text, use a chatroom or even write her a nice letter.

I think one of the greatest 'sins' in life is to sacrifice the joy of living to the fears; so, once you realize what you're doing, you may just as well switch tracks and go for it no matter if you fail ... better be perfect in failing than perfectly succeeding.

With that said, the issue may not be what to talk about, but to find enough trust inside yourself to open to a stranger, and just see what happens. Then, whatever rocks your boat will probably be just good enough as a topic to talk about.

The more interesting part is to get known yourself a little bit better too ... the one stranger you're living with close by all the time.

Just be there for her, dont always BE there. Ask her for a coffee sometime or a movie. She already asked you to help her with a car, so a friendship could be formed further. Dont stare her down like a creep. Thats it all takes your over 30 cmon.

I also think facebook is a bad way to get to closer to people. Get her number, then text her for a coffee. Or after class ask her whats she doing later, or plan a date in class towards next week or something.

Yes, just try to get to know her somehow.. fb is always a good start ;) you can talk about your interests and maybe you start web conferencing with her. Once you know her a little bit better, you can also invite her to your place (if you mind public places). Or, as someone already mentioned, go to the movies and so on.. Don't be shy! Go for it.
