I have a lot! Soldiers who are not afraid of guns, bombs, capture, torture or death say they are afraid of homosexuals. Clearly we should not be used as soldiers; we should be used as weapons. ~Letter to the editor, The Advocate Girls who put out are tramps. Girls who don't are ladies. This is, however, a rather archaic usage of the word. Should one of you boys happen upon a girl who doesn't put out, do not jump to the conclusion that you have found a lady. What you have probably found is a Lesbian. ~Fran Lebowitz If you are ashamed to stand by your colors, you had better seek another flag. ~Author Unknown Is life not a hundred times too short for us to stifle ourselves. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
This is a great line! ''What else could I say? Everyone is gay.''. - Kurt Cobain (Who ironically wasnt gay! lol)
Damn, those are awesome! I think you should have started this thread. “There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse.”—Quentin Crisp
When I was a teenager I would collect quotes about a lot of things. Made me more comfortable at times.
That's a classic! (BTW, I am the ghost of Kurt Cobain. ) Nice to see you posting again, IS: I was a little worried. --QP
Kurt Cobain was openly bisexual. I think quote-wise, I think the average everybody utters the most important gay quote of them all. Letting your family and peers know you are gay, and stating 'i am Gay' to these people takes much courage, and connects every LGBT person somewhere along the line. It takes sheer bravado and ideally helps each individual come to terms with who they are as people, by saying it out loud and to an audience.
Absolutely, it does. But if the people you tell are very anti gay, it can really disturb the 'coming to terms' with it part.
Yeah, suppose so. I just figured it was a heavy burden that was lifted nonetheless. But I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have known some pretty nasty gay-bashers, and I am convinced they are all so inclined themselves.
A most astute observation: "Gay men and straight men have much more in common than do gay men with lesbians or straight men with straight women..." -CAMILLE PAGLIA I have seen this when lesbians and gay men were thrown together with common activism. As soon as the lez left the room the tuna jokes would start. (Oops! Was that a secret?) Then there are the defiant ones: "Straight men need to be emasculated.... Every straight guy should have a man's tongue in his mouth at least once." -MADONNA Then there are those understood by us old pervs: "What a handsome face he had: but if he were naked you would forget he had a face, he is so beautiful in every way." -PLATO
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
