Hello all. I'm looking for a pot friendly roommate but I don't know how to specify that on a Craigslist ad. I don't want to all out say we smoke here, since it's still very illegal here...but I wanna make sure candidates know what they're getting into. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Your ad: Hey, i'm Frank! I'm looking for a room mate, you've got to be easy going, clean and independent you've also got to, uhh.. dooo.. other stuff. Fuck, I can't remember... that's so cool. You got to be cool. The world is so fuckin' cool, man... It's MASSIVE... y'know?? whatever dudes. Buy me soup.
Laid back and easy going.. is a good code phrase.. Relaxed/open environment... i think would work.. (but might think you live an alt lifestyle) Occasional smoker.. almost always means pot..
This, 420 friendly i see all the time. Also in your add, make sure to say, "you have to help me clean this place, including, DOING YOUR FUCKING DISHES" You dont need to yell but i always had a problem with roommates not doing there dishes.
+1 for something involving Adult Swim.. Don't think you will get many female responses with that one though.. If you do, giver her a shot.. especially if she doesnt mind doing some of the cooking or dishes (those ones are impossible to find)
I think most cigarette smokers are addicted enough so they have a regular habit to feed.. Unless you are attempting to quit but then it seems foolish to say you are an occasional smoker because you're trying not to smoke at all.. May even want encouragement to help you get over your addiction? (at very least not want the temptation of a roommate smoking around you). Just thought it was a good code phrase... in my experience whenever i see it on a dating or social networking site, the person who wrote it smokes both...
