Hola to everyone on the forums! I want you to post your favorite quote/s here and please don't forget to tell us who said 'em!
nah for serious: "you're only as young as the last time you changed your mind" "i feel bad for the ones who take authority as truth rather than truth as authority"
I think "one day you're going to die" is a huge thing most people with mental health issues such as depression could do with remembering more often. It's certainly helped me. Life is far, far too short to sit on your arse feeling bad about yourself.
"Do not invoke conspiracy as explanation when ignorance and incompetence will suffice, as conspiracy implies intelligence." -- Hanlon's Razor. When compared to American politics, and told to others, those that cannot see the correlation, that explains it even better. atriot:
Fingermouse: My brother said that to me just the other day! The bastard! All people 'kill' or 'prolong' their lives with that thought. lol Art is long and life is short because we're all just a little down! I know of a happy medium! An island unto itself! A mythical creature that wants its life so innocently! Hold me to it!
Live as if you were going to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were going to live forever -Ghandi (paraphrase) Those willing to trade a little freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security. -Jefferson Prohibition is Evil! -My husband's long dead depression era flapper grandmother
I always liked that quote, but in the genius of my most genial generosity I'd offer them both, provided they suck back an education.
Technology is the ability to make complicated things, genius is the ability to make complicated things simple. (I like K.I.S.S. and "simplicity is key" too)
"if you're going to be good, be good. and if you're going to be bad you might aswell be good at that to!" - my father
