I forgot to mention Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson of Canned Heat commited suicide on 9/3/70, just 2 weeks before Hendrix died, so it was a triple tragedy.
Morrison died a year later, while Wilson, Hendrix and Joplin all died within a month of each other. Weird, the 3 of them played at Woodstock and a year later they were dead!
