http://www.aerogrow.com/ How it works: http://www.aerogrow.com/howdoesitgrow.php I have an Aerogarden and no pods. Grow lights on this baby and a bubbling water (hydro) system. Included were nutrients and various herbs such as mint, oregano and basil. We have since used them and they were delicious, but this was a gift and it is much more economical just to buy the herbs at the grocery. My question: how would I go about modifying this to turn-out some sweetleaf herb? What nutrients would I need for the water? What seeds would you recommend for hydroponic? How viable is this idea? Thank you for your expert help. :watchplant:
The idea would be to have clones.. Growing from seeds isnt going to work. the plant needs more space that this/ but you can get some cuttings and keep them short in flowing and certainly bud them.. I would abandon the idea of a full scale grow with one single mini aerogrow unit.. In this case you the consumer want a little cannabis once in a while its fine/ the aerogrow will work for you, but not if you burn an oz of dro every week normally.
Yeah the original aerogarden won't cut it, you'll have to upgrade to the Aerogarden extra which has 7 pods, a larger water reservoir, the lights extend up higher and it comes with extra lights. BUT! if you buy some better lights and remove the existing lights (yes they come right off with no problem) you will have enough room to grow a good sized plant. I'm gonna use some AK47 and some Lowryder seeds in mine. I'm sure I will probably outgrow the aerogarden really quick, but at least by the time I have to buy another system I will be completely ready to do an actual hydro grow. Then I will just use my Aerogarden to grow some kick ass tomatoes
