So lame they all want you to pass a drug test . Smoked like 4 or 5 days ago now. By the time I hand in applications and get an interview etc I should be all good. Do must jobs test you after you're hired?
They usually only test you after they decide they WANT to hire you. I've had drug tests given to me on the same day as the initial interview.
Ya I no I'm applying for like 10 places and the economy here isnt in the shitter yet so I was wondering if I did get hired would they test me like say 2 months after working there? Plus some say they do alcohol tests lol didnt no you could test for alcohol.
A lot of places do random drug tests after they hire you. I've known people who've worked at places for years without having a drug test, then they suddenly get a random, surprise drug test and end up getting fired. Also, a lot of places drug test people when they get hurt on the job, like if you accidentally cut yourself or get a bruise. I was working at a place for a couple of months in 2008. One day, my arm was hurting. There were no marks on me or anything. I asked my supervisor if I could have some ibuprofen because my arm was hurting, and she ended up giving me a drug test because she thought I hurt my arm at work. Needless to say, I lost the job because of it.
i have never had a drug test for any job i have worked... i did have to take one once... and failed.. but i really didnt wanna work at Gold'n'Plump.. i love chicken too much
They won't catch you if you are active and eat good.. I work at this little mexican grill place and they test me sometimes.. I had to cut down obviously, but it is worth the money and leaves me higher when I smoke But if you eat right and stay active(I'm not really active, but I eat right and pass..) you will be fine lol
I can't imagine having to piss into a cup to get a job. The passing out resumes and interview process is horrible enough as is. I started a new job today and the supervisor put it perfectly..."I know you're not all holy christians who go home and read the bible every night and I don't care, but whatever you do on your own time is your business, but when you're here we expect you to be sober and ready to work". Cool I've got no problems with that. I'll probably show up a little baked once and a while but doubt it's definitely not gonna be like my last job where there was so little work to do I'd have to sneak out to my car to smoke bowls and sniff lines to make it through the day.
I worked at UPMC in Oakland city of Pittsburgh.. we used to go here for breaks and smoke weed all the time.. 100% sure that everyone knows thats what we were doing..
Work is the source of nearly all the misery in the world. Almost any evil you'd care to name comes from working or from living in a world designed for work. In order to stop suffering, we have to stop working The degradation which most workers experience on the job is the sum of assorted indignities which can be denominated as "discipline." Including testing for drugs before you even begin a job Free time is mostly devoted to getting ready for work, going to work, returning from work, and recovering from work. Free time is a euphemism for the peculiar way labor, as a factor of production, not only transports itself at its own expense to and from the workplace, but assumes primary responsibility for its own maintenance and repair. Coal and steel don't do that. Lathes and computers don't do that. No wonder Edward G. Robinson in one of his gangster movies exclaimed, "Work is for saps!" Many workers are fed up with work. There are high and rising rates of absenteeism, turnover, employee theft and sabotage, wildcat strikes, and overall goldbricking on the job. Half the work force-(come on, of course Im just guessing here) are white-collar workers, most of whom have some of the most tedious and idiotic jobs ever concocted. Entire industries, insurance and banking and real estate for instance, consist of nothing but useless paper-shuffling All this being said is just the rants of a retired 60 yr old guy that busted his balls for yrs and yrs - only to be forced into early retirement when they outsourced my position to Korea- Of course- we have to work if we want to feed our families, have a roof over our heads, etc... etc... - sorry> just felt like typing out some subversive nonsense at 7:30 sat. morning Oh well- Im off to the coffee shop on the boardwalk- where Im sure some kid that hates being there-will pour my cup ,curse under her breath that she has to be there on a Saturday morning- and watch the clock till she gets the fuck outta there saturday rant jjack :coffee:
I smoke on the beach with my customers most nights. Not tonight though... Monsoon. I'm a host at a restaurant/guesthouse called Ling Ming in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Free room/board/booze ten steps away from the gulf of Thailand.
I don't suppose you could get me a job, could you? Edit: And in response to the OP, check out these sites. They'll help you get a better idea as to whether or not you'll have to worry about anything. http://www.testclear.com/dtcompanies/searchcompany.aspx http://www.companiesthatdrugtest.com/ Google searches will also help you establish whether or not people that have worked in these establishments before have had to go through testing. Best of luck.
I have never been drug tested for a job. I hear about wal-mart and food stores drug testing a bunch. I know a guy that just got hired at Wal-Mart and he won't smoke because they give random drug tests. I have been lucky. I work at goodwill which is a resale shop and they don't drug test. There are a bunch of people that smoke there. Actually theres a girl thats getting me some bud.
