I present myself in the same manner both online and off, however the way I am taken online differs a lot from the way I am taken in real life... People often read anger into things I post online when there is nothing but humor on my part... Something to do with people thinking that someone swearing means they're angry... What in the fuck is that all about?
i'm just as odd and awkward if you do not understand how i speak... but i know what you mean. for the people who are a bit more calmed it could have something to do with their social capabilities, internet/texting are way easier modes of communication so people don't communicate facetoface voicetovoice as much, and do not strengthen their skillz. i don't know what yours is all about but that is sort of the same with me, except not the anger... people just think i am serious about some things that i say, or do not fucking comprehend.
that is actually a very important point you bring up. face to face communication takes skills that some people in this forum may not have.
How could you reject it? I say I'm more of an asshole online then I am in person. Plus check my sig... I'm just a dick and I know it too
The shot of this is really good. It looks as if it could jump off the page. Be careful out there, please.
I've met a few people from the net and they're all cool and stuff. It's just the sarcasm and the way they talk doesn't really communicate across on how we read text.
No idea! Now quit swearing at me. I think unless you read a lot of posts by people it is sometimes really hard to figure out where they are coming from. Once you tend to know their posting style then I find it is less often that "you don't get" their meaning or nuance.
