I was laying there breathing deep one day with my eyes closed doing a technique i read about clairvoyance, where you picture a tunnel and make that tunnel go into other room and such and concentrate on it and you can see in there. Well I saw a little bit into my living from my bedroom, and then i started feeling really tired and started fading out, i was floating above my body but i still felt tired as if inside of my body, and this black heavy figure was on top of me, I was too tired to get him off.

did i project by accident or just a weird dream? whaddaya think?

I don't know what "Astral project" actually means* but I think I'v done it.

*This doesn't mean define it. I know what you think it means

I think that's called remembering your living room. And if there was a black man on top of you, you should call the cops.

Hmmm, the one time i did astral projection it was on a decent dose of pharmahuasca. Can't say i remember a tunnel, but there are lots of tunnels in DMT space. i floated up above my body and was aware of floating above my body in the room near the ceiling. i was then able to consciously direct where i went . . . one of the more trippy/fantastic experiences of my life . . .

close your eyes, think only about your breathing and slow your breaths down. make yourself be in a state between wake and sleep. eventually "lift off" when ready. not much to it.

I knew/know a woman who began astral projecting when she was a teenager (tho' neither of us had the vocabulary for this). It was brought on by her mother's incessant harranguing, occasional beatings, etc. This was Lu's was of "coping".
She would describe to me how she would go into another room, outside, etc - altho' she always knew she could go anywhere she wanted - until her mother "quieted" down.
(The mother, now deceased, is a whole nother story...)]
At any rate, I tried, but couldn't; would always fall asleep first. She would describe it as swimming out of her body, and could, up to 10 years ago, "go" anywhere in your house and tell you later/write down specifically what you were doing.
She also told me that this is a "skill" that is easier, or can be done easier the more it is done; and, that she was unsure (the other night when we talked) about doing it now.
    whatever that means. :)

Just so I'm contributeing something... salvia breakthroughs seem something like astral projection.

Fair enough. Then taking your suggestion of dissociation at face value, I would have to say that projecting one's awareness into another room goes a little beyond mere depersonalization - but by the same token I could certainly see astral projection being an extreme case of depersonalization resulting from trauma. And that's an interesting thought.

Another interesting thought, but one I don't have any personal experience with...and anyway I've never had an astral projection experience, tho I've tried on occasion.

    haha... oh damn.

i was like floating and this black figure, was trying to push me into my body more like. not on top of me LOL.

i've heard of people who are severly abused who kinda leave to go to another place.

i want to develop the skill of astral projection pretty badly, damn that would be cool.

    It was probably a dream.

I had a dream once where I was hovering in the air and when I looked down there was large glass terrarium which enclosed (or imprisoned) these devil type figures who were formerly human.

While I felt completely as peace I was apprehensive to look behind me because I suspected I was being held up by a set of wings

Oddly enough it was the scariest dream I ever had because it was so lifelike It was impossible to tell the difference between the real world and the dream world

Before I ever did any kind of drugs I had a dream that I took X and hovered about 4 feet in the air spinning in 10 foot circles that were both inside and outside of my house.

And one time I had a dream that skyscrapers were made of stone and giant sea shells and there were bongs built into all the hallways.

99% of the time when I realize I'm dreaming I fucking wake myself up trying to move in the dream and moving in real life... it's so annoying.

I was trying to have a lucid dream early this morning - same thing: Every time I started being aware I was dreaming, I woke up.
