Do you think we're genetically programmed to want things at a certain age?

Like ...for some reason we want a husband and kids at weird time because of hormones etc? Just wondering. I go through these weird stages where I don't want kids or to get married at all and just want to travel and do the things I want to do. But then i'll start to think that having a travelling companion and then later having kids would be really wonderful. It's like no way!!! and then baby fever and wanting  (ohhhh ya new emoticons)

when women are in the most fertile stages their hormones race and strive for sex.

i am not sure if your body is programmed to think so but your mind could be from seeing what goes on around you. the body was made for reproduction not "love" so..

I don't think the question is what behaviors hormones drive one towards, but how one puts logic and observation into the decision loop.

The effect of everyone else, once more and more of the gals around you start having babies, that baby fever will set in

Every girl should have a kid, you're never more adorable than those couple months after giving birth, you'all just glow. And the way it changes some women is remarkable.

Of course then theres raising the little shits, all the bills and a decade of no sleep, but thats another story.

I'm 22, and just recently I've changed somehow. I'm really sexual, far moreso than when I was a teen, and it's a steady, sure feeling rather than coming and going in surges like it was back then. I'm also far more confident and mentally stable. I like it.

Ironically I was married and thinking about kids a couple of years ago. Finally sense kicked in and I'm out of that. No kids for a while for me.
That stuff isn't just biological. A big part is environmental. My circumstances made me believe, foolishly, that I wanted to raise a child.
