Did you play 'Penny up the Wall' as a kid at school? You basically stood about 3 metres away from a wall with a friend and throw a coin at the wall. Whoever got their coin closest to the wall won both coins. I used to play it when the teachers weren't looking in the playground. After numerous games, I somethings lost all of my lunch money and sometimes doubled it unk: I've been thinking about making this game where players can fund their accounts with PayPal and play online. The winner gets 95% of the total back and can withdraw the money back to their PayPal accounts at anytime. The trouble is, it would cost me about 1.5 mill to get a gambling license Now if the 5% went to charity I could make the game. I'm assuming that it would be pretty easy to write. I'm going to make the game and I'll post it here so you can play with fake funds. Maybe you can beta test it for me and give me feedback. Would you be tempted to play the real thing? If so, how much would you dare to gamble? The result would be instant :sunny:
How would the actual coin toss work? Beings electronic it could be, like most gambling devices, made to make profit for the owner and not actually pay out fairly.
The code will randomly choose A or B (AKA true or false in C Sharp, C++ or Java Script). I'll need to make sure that the code cannot be hacked before pursuing this venture. The main thing is that the player can reap their reward without the usual bullshit/theft associated with all the other games. If you win you've won. You can transfer your monies to your personal account instantly without issues.
Do you buy tickets for a lottery in your country? IIRC, the odds are like 1 in 14 mill to win the jackpot. The odds say your not going to win. What if the odds were 50-50? Instant double or nothing? Would you fuck with that FTW?
well they sell lottery tickets here, i don't buy them though... even 50/50 is not for me. i'm just not a gambler, at least not with my money.
I don't like to gamble. Sometimes I will receive a scratch ticket in a Christmas card, but other than that, no.
I played that game in school, only we used quarters. And I do not like online games, but lots of people do so you should go for it.
