Smoking has been demonized alot in the media and in the schools, but what they never tell you is that smoking does have some benefits. Besides the obvious great taste and the incredible feeling of smoke hitting your lungs, it is also an appetite suppressant, a stress reliever, and makes you look really cool. I refer to the website below that lists actual research done on the glorious effects of this wonderful habit.

Whoever thinks dangling a cigarette out of their mouth makes them look really cool is demented, as well as stupid.

We smokers are tired of being descriminated against. It's fine if you don't want us to smoke in enclosed public spaces, no one should be forced to breath second hand smoke. But the new laws coming in are pushing the limit to far.

nah the government and the laws passed by the people would like you and all others to quit for health benefits. i think cigarettes become a crutch for stress relief once you get addicted though, and thats not good especially cuz the health risks outweigh the worth.

just smoke shwag weed joints instead of cigs. thats a healthier stress reliever, and imo makes you cooler.

It's getting to the point now were smoking could be outlawed altogether in a few years. It's my body and I'll do what I want with it. And by the way I'm in great health, I could run a marathon if I wanted to.

ya hopefully measures don't come to that. but i hope marijuana legalization teaches people many different things, like what really should qualify for prohibiting entirely.
as you may be able to run a marathon now, the harmful effects bite ya in the butt when you're old. fucks with your blood, and lungs mostly. my second cousin has slowly lost his leg for 10 years cuz his circulation isn't good, hes been smoking since he was 16 and it probably isnt the whole reason but it probably is the main contributor.
you can do whatever you want of course, i just dont think its a very worthwhile thing at all. and i think the slight "stigma" is kinda a good thing.

I am a heavy smoke and have been for years. If there was a bill that outlawed cigarettes and legalized weed I'd vote for it.

If more people smoked the world would be a better place.

I am no troll. I am a beacon of hope in this uneducated world. The spectrum of ignorance is strong and hits on a multitude of levels. This fictitious falsfication that smoking has absolutely zero benefits is absolutely ludicrous and utterly ridiculas. I am not demented, you are the one living in a morbid sphere of self delusion. I weep for you.

I'm guessing their aren't many smokers on this site. I expected them all to congregate on my thread to vent.

There are ALLOT of smokers here....POT smokers! :D

I personally do not like cigs...I do not like the smell. But if someone wants to smoke more power to them, just don't blow that smoke my way.

    One thing though...that really bugs me...when someone's kids/babies smell like smoke-disgusting!

Smoking when your drunk is the best feeling in the world, nobody can deny this fact.

ive been trying to quit smoking for years..I can quit for months at a time but its always alcohol that gets me started again. I would be perfectly happy if cigarettes were made illegal. Not tobacco, just prerolled cigarettes with additives in them. I think these are much more addictive than pure tobacco that you roll yourself...i can roll pure tobacco and smoke it and enjoy it without ever craving it, but if I smoke one cigarette all I can think about is having another cigarette.

    I hate them. Illegalize it!

oh yeah cigarettes aren't a stress relief. the addictive properties of nicotine convinces your body that its relieving stress but in all actuality its creating more stress.

I quit for smoking two years. I started again, not because I had a craving but because I just missed the feeling. If people don't want to smoke, or quit, that's fine. But I love it, and I shouldn't be condemned for it.
