Mars suicide mission

You really don't understand why someone would want to do this? I would imagine it would be for the thrill of knowing you are the first one to ever attempt such a feat. Whoever does this will forever go down in history, successful or not. It will definitely take someone with a lot of balls and someone who is fascinated with space. I say go for it!! This is the first step to establishing settlements on another planet!

 

I agree, but IIRC, its illegal to exploit people with down syndrome.

yeah... i wouldn't volunteer. but i would follow the story very closely.

 

Maybe they will raise government babies specifically for the mission. They will know no other way of life.

It's like a science fiction movie, but cell phones and computers used to be science fiction, too...

 

Or better yet; if I was dying from an incurable illness I’d volunteer to be the first man on mars even if it meant certain death
