If cannabis is classified as a schedule I drug, then why has it been legalized in 14 states for medical use? A class I drug; *The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.* This if anything should suggest the fact that the government's stance on cannabis is skewed. my dad has a tumor and it is medicinal here, i am just not sure if he is eligible for it... but good to know. lately my head has been hurtin` i figured it was a tumor but it can't be do to the amount of marijuana i ingest. yeah cool thanks for sharing.
The FDA, which is a federal agency, is the organization responsible for classifying drugs under the Controlled Substance Act. The federal government does not recognize cannabis as having any medical value. Federal law =/= state law.
