Do you ever get sad when you start a thread and it doesn't take off? I want every thead I make to be loved by everybody and commented by all. I guess this can't always be the case.
Perhaps, but their is nothing wrong with wishing for the most glorious outcome possible. It's weird that threads I think won't go anywhere take off, and threads I think will take the forum by storm end as duds.
the best ones are where you just post a thread and then never ever go back and read the responses until a year passes
I find one cure is to stop posting threads Really, a lack of responses is one of the better results I get for my threads.
If you were experiencing forum recession then I'd recommend applying for some stimulus money but since this is a depression I can only prescribe a surprise Japanese attack on the Pacific fleet in Hawaii.
I wouldn't mind an attack. As long as people were replying and I have something to read to keep me etertained
Actually I was thinking an aerial military assault on a naval fleet... that effectively ended the last major depression here. It was fun... people rationed butter, sugar, and gasoline, bought war bonds... pennies were made of steel punch was served...
if you want tons of replies make the thread about abortion...or circumcision...or the classic troll thread of cat masturbation
For me it’s just the opposite, if no one responds fine :2thumbsup: It took me nearly five years after the O J Simpson trial ended to get over the withdrawal symptoms I suffered from of posting 24/7. It was crazy back then; everyone had an opinion and threads would blossom to over a thousand in a matter of hours on several different message boards including court tv Hotwater
