pastel help?

    i was wondering if anyone knows where i can find information about how to use the art medium 'pastels'?

    Google pastel art work technique, or go to your local library they gotta have some books on it.

    my local library isnt anything good to count on, when it comes to art...sadly
    Google is my best bet.

    oil or chalk?

    oil is kinda weird, im not too good with it cause it smears really easily and ends up turning into a muddy mess.

    chalk offers some interesting blending opportunities. try it out by smearing lines with a piece of paper/towel
