I have to kill my cat tomorrow after 17 years :(

I am so fucking hurting. I am not suppose to tell my mom but I want to.... this is fucked up and I just feel like shit. I have had him for 17 years this is painful. My mom is so upset too.

 

To be honest it is because we think he is in pain because he pees on the floor and poos on the floor several times a day. But other than that he is in perfect health.

 

Can he be tested for that?

You don't have to KILL him to make the problem better. I'd take him to the vet first, and if they think he should be put down, let them do it. There's no point in killing him if he can be helped.

I agree with taking him to the vet. There are many reasons why he would go on the floor, tell the vet what the problem is and they can help.

My cat can kick all your cats asses. Well thanks guys for the ideas but we have had him tested for EVERYTHING under the sun. Believe me I don't want to do this but the docs don't know, we are out of options other than thinking he is in pain.

 

I understand, it's just that your original post kind of implied that you "thought" he was in pain and were going to kill him yourself. I hope you're getting him put to sleep humanely.

Well I called the vet crying and said I want him fully checked because I don't want to do this at all.

 

Good idea to have him checked.

One of my dogs now has accidents sometimes, I was at the point of frustration as he never did before (he is 18). No matter how often I put him out he would ummm pee sometimes.....turns out he is totally blind and if I move anything in the house he is lost...can not find his way to the door.

I have stopped moving stuff about....lol and he goes out again and I am praying for a few more years of my toothless blind fur kid.

I hope for good news for you and that your cat can be helped and you have more time with him.
