what is the closest drug to opium?

I want to try opium , very badly.. I live in Canada, i was wondering what is the closest drug thats closest to opium?

the closest drug to opium is black tar heroin

its effects are a lot closer to codeine though

it is also like cannabis in that they both produce delightful tasting smoke

 

opium is a plant based resin/tar/sap which is hardened and contains in small amounts codeine and morphine. Those are the active ingredients in opium, so if you've done tylenol 3, that's kind of similar. Opium smells very interesting and can be quite delicious though. It's a smooth, subtle relaxing high. Just don't eat too much or you'll puke! (or die)

Its 80:20 Morphine to Codeine, so its mostly like morphine.

 

there's nothing like opium though. All these drugs can produce similiar effects but opium is in a class of its own. it produces a more pure high than codeine or morphine and its obviously a lot more mellow than heroin.

 

and heroin high is so harsh?

I definitely wouldn't say it's a lot more mellow than heroin, it's rather lot weaker.

But definitely better than heroin after all.

 

I didn't mean harsh, I just meant stronger. i've never done heroin but I've done opium and all it did was mellow me out like crazy, almost like magnificent hash or something. It wasn't an intense high at all. I know heroin is mellow but it also seems like theres a certain level of intensity there. I've also always gotten the impression that heroin causes that dirty feeling that many drugs cause, whereas opium feels very pure.

 

You can't find any opium in Canada?? damn I'm in the southern part of the US and I get Afghani opium from time to time from people in Vancouver,BC where it is pretty commonly available ,at least to the people I know that go and who live there.

 

Opium, like a user above said, is a mixture of substances, mainly Morphine and Codeine. Seeing as codeine is a prodrug for morphine anyways, your best bet for an opium high would be morphine. It is a common pharmaceutical.

 

Haven't had opium in quite some time... It tastes soooooooo good. And like others said, I guess the closest thing to it would be morphine or in some ways Hash...
