Need Help Identifying What type of DMT I have

Hi I'm new to this website and pretty much to the world of DMT so I'm not experienced at all in knowing what different DMT looks like and just I came across some yesterday from I guy I met and was wondering if anybody here knows or has ever seen any DMT that looks like what I'm going to describe:
It's a sort of orangish color, It looks like powder in the bag but up close you can see that they're what looks like to be broken down crystals( they're extremely fine/tiny), as far as the taste I don't know yet because I have never tried DMT and this is the first time I've gotten a hold of any and I just want to know if anyone knows of some DMT that looks as described above.

Thanks Overdose. The only reason I was asking was because I've haven't tried it yet(until this saturday) so I don't know what it looks like and I don't really know the guy I got it from too well so I was just trying to make sure that what I was smoking was DMT but Thanks again.

 

does it smell sort of like flowers?

 

It did kind of smell like flowers for the first second I smelled it and then smelled like what something powdery would smell like ( if that makes sense to you).

Yeah, sounds like DMT. Would be better if you could post a clear picture. The famous pic at Erowid is bullshit - it is an ancient picture of synthetic DMT. You have DMT extracted from Mimosa Hostillis Root Bark (MHRB). It is orange because the alchemist did a sloppy extraction and/or took too long and/or was trying to do a full-spectrum/jungle pull. They definately chose to hold on to every mg of the original yield and did NOT recrystallize. The fact that it is NOT goo indicates that it is not completely full spectrum, which means N,N, DMT, N-Oxide DMT and possibly other alkaloids from MHRB

Not trying to confuse the issue. Sounds like you are good to go. Good DMT comes in many colors, including white, orange and yellow. 10 mgs should give you a sense of what it's about. 40-50 mgs vaporized in 60 seconds or less should give you full-blown, profound, "breakthrough" effects.

I was thinking of doing about 10-15 mgs this weekend and was just a little worried because people that I know that have tried DMT have said that theirs was yellow crystals that were shards, unlike mine which looks like powder, but everyone seems to be telling me that this is DMT so it must be. Is this just regular DMT? People that I know that have done it before have mentioned that there are other types of DMT like 5-meo-dmt and nn-dmt so would anyone be able to tell me what type it is?

You have powder rather than shards because the alchemist or the dealer took a razor blade to the shards and chopped them repeatedly. i do this routinely - large crystals are over-rated when vaporizing. Also, i do it to help to get ALL of the solvent out - every last molecule.

No way that amount is 5-meo unless you paid a fortune. So, N,N, but wow it really is orange. Very sloppy work.

Nonetheless, it IS usable as it now exists. But, should you wish to improve it you can do so with the simple procurement of some heptane (go to an art store and ask for Bestine) and a couple shot glasses or other glass containers with a cone shape such as martini glasses. Eye dropper too. Anyway, here's a link to a tek that will allow you to recrystallize your DMT if you want to do so. You will get a noticeable reduction in yield (all the crap will drop out) and a huge increase in quality - you'll be left with clear/white small crystal shards if all goes well. If nervous, try the re-crsytal procedure on a small amount as a test batch.

Spicey, I think I might just do that after I try it out a couple of times so I can get an idea of what the DMT is like now and what it's like after so I can see the quantity needed and quality difference between the original DMT and the purified. Thank you all for all your responses that helped put my doubts to ease and the great advice given to me.

DMT is really unlike any other psychedelic in my experience and I honestly feel it is not possible to over-research or over-prepare . . .
