when i was about 14 i started smoking weed constantly, and drinking on the occasion, after i cut back on the party seen, i experimented with some other drugs at shows and festivals and stuff but never got addicted to anything or tryed anything more than once, but when i was about 17 in december or so i started poppin pain killers and such just minor ones like vicodin, perkadin, and other stuff. Eventually i started dateing this great guy who was also addicted to pills and besides that problem which i considered minor at the time, he was a great guy had a job, nice car, and planned on going to college. so we dated and eventually we found our true love in a pill called oxycontin. it seemed like it was all we cared about and i know it was all our money went into them. eventually my parents found out and all hell broke loose i got kicked out and now i live with my boyfriend. we both decided to stop doing them and with time and persistance we both slowly weened ourselfs, or else we were going to rehab. things were going good after we quit...we had out lifes back on the right track is what i thought but i found out my bf was doing them behind my back a couple of weeks ago and i have once again started doing them and i cannot stop i dont know what to do anymore... i dont know if im going to be able to get off of them now that im 18 and my parents could give two shits about me...i really need help and i know it i just dont know where to find it
Rehab centers or just drive to the hospital and say your an oxyaddict and you want to do fast withdraws. They will help you out. I used to snort oxycottin... back in the day (last year..). I also know a cupple like you that both got addicted to oxycottin for 3 years. Finley one day they disided they were going to quit togeather. They slowly went off the drug and... there all good. Just get help before its to late and you lose everything you know its true and nothing make sence anymore. Dont think it wont happen it will. It just needs time before it takes you both over.
Have you ever heard of Kratom? Kratom is a tree that grows in Thailand. Its leaves are psychoactive, they contain a substance called mitragynine. Much research still has to be done, but current research suggests that making Kratom tea is very helpful for addicts to opiates (like oxycontin); in the right amount, they can suppress opiate withdrawal symptoms, and have been used to help addicts break their problems. Apparently, opiates affect various opioid receptors in the brain (two of the most common being kappa and mu). Kratom, in lower dosages, affects the kappa opioid receptors only, but in higher dosages, has a "crossover effect" where it also begins to affect the mu receptors slightly. The mu recpetors have been linked with physical addiction (hence addiction to opiates), and the use of Kratom at this crossover threshold level has been shown to prevent opiate withdrawals, while there is a risk of a very mild addiction to Kratom (which can be broken easily, much more easily than oxycontin). In effect, it's kind of like "the patch" that cigarette smokers wear, that releases nicotine into their system in very small amounts periodically, to suppress cravings. I've used Kratom before myself (in medium dosages, which are less than is needed for the mu crossover effect), and it has been very fun; I've found it to be better than even marijuana sometimes. You can read my Kratom experiences on the psychoactives board (the thread title is "Kratom - Incredible"), as Kratom is my 2nd favourite psychoactive (next to the Ultimate Herb, of course). In short, it has a lot of euphoria, very little mental confusion or forgetting things, and a TON of energy and motivation. It also lasts for anywhere between 2 and 8 hours (depending on the dose). In Thailand, parents often married their daughters to users of Kratom as opposed to users of marijuana, because Kratom users tended to be more productive and motivated, where marijuana users were said to be lazy. One warning though: Kratom tea is -- pardon my curses -- NASTY as SHIT. Unless you add honey or sugar, the tea will likely make you gag and can give you an upset stomach, and even with sweeteners, it isn't much better. However, you can chew the same amount of Kratom leaves that you would put into a tea, and if you completely chew and then swallow the leaves, you will get the same effects (the leaves are bitter as well, but not quite as bitter as the tea). If you have a high tolerance to drinking nasty substances (I don't, so I have problems with Kratom tea), then Kratom tea would be a very good idea to at least try, if not use instead of oxycontin. Other ways may be to freeze the tea, and grind the ice in a grinder, and then eat like a snow-cone. This would mask the texture of the tea, which although wouldn't make the tea taste better, would prevent the tea from making you gag or feel sick to your stomach. Nutmeg users also do this sometimes, as nutmeg is similar to Kratom in bitterness and foul taste. Either way, even if it is nasty, I'd recommend it to you to break the oxycontin addiction. Good luck, friends! =)
