Home Depot again today with a friend, both of us bare. Talked with the greeter, 2 staff members while looking for our items who helped us, and the cashier, nobody said a word about it. Then went to a fast food place for lunch, an employee asked if my "legs" were cold, I said no, its 95 degrees out today. Why would my legs be cold, i was in pants and happened to be barefoot, if anything it would be my feet. But no they were actually hot

Had boots on all day, but after work I went for a walk along the esplanade for an hour or so barefoot. Then went to go see a movie and was denied entry because of my barefeet. I was annoyed, It was the first time I've been denied entry. Had to run back to my car and luckily there was a pair of thongs. So ran back with them in my hand, put them on in front of the girl, walked into the cinema ad chucked them back in my bag :2thumbsup:

    Kia Ora Ni Hao!

I cycled probably a couple miles barefoot. I finally duct taped the pedals and it was a comfortable ride. I also went to a store in this fine November weather.

    Cheers!

Ran 3 miles barefoot then followed that up with a visit to my local 7-11 for coffee. I love going into this store with a crowd inside just to experience "the looks" I receive. No comments but lots of attention!

    Greetings, fellow barefooters,

After a week of uncharacteristically mild weather (for November, at least), temperatures began dropping to more typical November levels last weekend.
Last week's mild spell was accompanied by sometimes heavy rain showers and strong, gusty winds, which prompted quite many trees to shed their formerly green dresses and go nude. Since those winds did not only shake the leaves from the trees, but also held the danger of flinging twigs or larger branches down on unwary barefoot or shod pedestrians. But the temperature levels reaching up to 17° C (almost 63F) certainly asked for barefooting and last Friday (traditionally the casual day in the office world) I wore flip-flops in the office. Certainly a thing I haven't done often in November in the last years. At the moment, I spend barefoot quality time at home, since I have a week of leave (the last remaining days of leave this year) and intend to spend that as unshod as the weeks of barefoot freedom I spent this year so far.

A short afterthought: "shod pedestrian" - cute oxymoron, isn't it? "Pedestrian", containing the latin root "pes, pedis" (meaning "foot") has no hint of shoes whatsoever hidden in it... therefore, walking people wearing shoes should rather be called "calcastrians", to coin a new term. It's even more apparent in my native German language, where the word "Fußgänger" - literally translating as "foot-walker" clearly holds no hint of shoes, either.

Even though people tend to think that autumn - especially the late autumn season, leading the way to winter (which is only a few weeks from now) - is a gloomy and grey time, void of color and opening the door for sadness and depression, I still find pleasure, see different colors and obtain overall happiness by using my bare soles as another sensory gateway of taking in all the impressions of my surroundings.

And to do just that, I went out last Sunday - as usual - to take my barefoot walk in the park and have a look at what the mild week's strong wind had shaken from the trees and thrown onto the ground below. On the way to the park, I could already see that the leaves covering the pavement were undergoing the natural change of becoming new soil, with the typical feeling of wet mud underfoot. And as I entered the park, I could see (and feel) that quite many leaves had been shaken down from the trees, now covering the paths in a thick green-golden-brown carpet. In some places, it was more than ankle-deep, hiding my bare feet almost completely.
(Pictures, as usual, are visible in my personal online barefoot diary:
    http://www.barefoot-spring.net/barefoot/diary3.html
    - now re-structured with sub-pages for older entries to reduce load time... more than 270 pictures on one page are a bit much... ;-) )

Where the paths weren't covered with leaves, they were muddy and wet, with some nice mud puddles to step into and feel one of the fun sensations of barefooting. The trees had changed their colors from the fiery red and orange hues of Indian summer to a slightly mellower golden and brown tone. And some trees seemed to be quite coy and shy about losing their dress and seemed to cling on to their leaves, even in strong wind, like one particular chestnut tree, for instance, which sort of clung to its dress of golden leaves. As usual, I made sure to let my soles feel different textures and took my time walking over grass, mud, soil and fallen leaves. Facing the park from its western end, I did my relaxation exercise, as described in the October entries of my barefoot diary, standing on the wet grass, taking deep breaths, doing an energy exchange by ways of a breathing meditation exercise. Searching for many different textures, I gave my bare soles a nicely diverse tour of different kinds of soil, sand, grass, mud and leaves. All in all, a very nice large dose of free and natural anti-depressive medicine. After enjoying these hours of barefoot bliss - including taking in the special mood of a late autumn afternoon, shortly before sunset - I slowly went home, past one of the elder trees in that park, bidding it goodbye for that day. And even though I am facing a week of barefoot freedom, this portion of positive energy is something I wanted and needed nevertheless.

Wiggling bare and therefore happy toes,

    ~*Ganesha*~

Went to the post office today and also to the video rental place. At the video rental place I got tense as out of no where about ten folks entered while I was standing at the counter to check out. To my relief no one said a thing. Loving the 70 degree weather in November.

Nowhere today (it's cold and miserable in the UK....) but I spent the last two weeks in California and was barefoot almost the whole time.
I took off my flips at Heathrow security and flew barefoot on US Airways, including a layover at Philly.
Had a wonderful time barefooting around Sacramento, San Francisco and Disneyland including restaurants, shopping malls, gas stations and various stores without a single negative comment.

    I'll be back !

Cold nights and warm days here currently, making barefooting possible at least part of the time...just got back from the bank, the grocery store and lunch at Chipotle, all barefoot.

My first post - you've got to start somewhere! I had a great hike through the forest plus my usual workout at the gym where they're happy for me to be barefoot. Not bad for November in Central Ontario

Went to an auto parts store (Advance Auto Parts) the other day, bought my stuff and no one even noticed that I was barefoot.
I had to get a tire fixed yesterday and as the guy was patching my leaky tire he looked at my bare feet and said "tough feet, huh?". I said, "Yeah, they work just fine".

Barefoot today at Albertson's (supermarket) and El Pollo Loco. Also took a barefoot walk across a freshly paved parking lot and got my soles really black! Lovin' this warm spell!
