practicing medicine without a license

a friend of mine was just charged with practicing medicine without a license for removing a birth control implant from a girl. he removed it to do a tattoo with her consent. crazy shit. so i ask the question: if you were a tattoo artist and a female wanted a tattoo on the inside of the upper arm, but the sub dermal rod thing could potentially be a problem, would you remove it if she told you to?

 

Not now that I know it's apparently illegal...

Probably not, but I'm pretty paranoid and suspicious of people's motives.

 

too hypothetical. removing any sort of implant sounds fucking gross to me, but then so does tattooing someone, so if i did one for a living, i might not mind the other so much.

If your girlfriend started freaking out 'cause she just heard that breast implants could be problematic, would you cut them out for her?

No, I would not yank tubes out of someone's arm any more than I would give them stitches.

They shove these rods in your arm...the thought is almost making me gag.

 

at some point, i would think it would be easier to just have the damn baby.

and yea i agree i probably wouldnt have done it either. its just crazy that he might get 5-10 years for pulling a matchstick sized pin out of someones arm.

Right off the bat, the fact that she would ask to have her birth control (regardless of what I think of the method) removed in order to get a tattoo, is a sign that she is someone who should definitely be using birth control...

 

Holy shit. No, I wouldn't, but that looks rediculous. Metal rods....is a fucking condom or diaphragm really that hard?
