Warning: Long post....sorry :banghead: Does anyone else get annoyed when you see people do this?: xx position [X] somedude1 (republican) xy position [X] somedude2 (republican) xxy position [X] somedude3 (republican) Where the entire ballot is just checked off in three minutes with all republicans, democrats, libs, U.S taxpayers. Basically blind party favoritism? I don't see why people don't know it is so important who they elect. Sure there are some good XXXXXXX's but some bad ones who would completely screw things up. Mostly because it is based on party attributes. Though those attributes may be better for certain positions than others. For example, I am mostly democrat but I must say so are those who control what our school requirements look like. Mostly I see it working in favor of businesses rather than in favor of the individual students. As a member of the class of 2011, I was one of the guinea pigs. Curriculum were busier and we were told what our schedules had to look like where there was little option for something that students may actually take interest in. So I voted republican for those who were mainly in control of education (cant remember official office name.) Why do people tend to make big leaps where they stray very little from their own party, instead of applying the individuals policies matching what works where for what powers their office entitles? I voted some democrat, some republican, some libertarian. Another thing that's a hazard is social media. This year the public messages against and for voters was honestly NUTS for one. When I studied the leading candidates I found out, while one actually knew what he was doing and had experience, the popular candidate seems to be more targeted to social media, trying to relate to the people and compliment those who voted for him. While this is a working system of getting votes, why is that so? Is it that hard to look past the aesthetics and discover the true facts and the truth behind the public messages, to learn about the candidates for a particular office and to know what the office entitles and make a decision on that? /rant
People seem to be more interested in cheering for their home team rather then look in depth at the issues.
A problem too is that most people tend to listen to what politicians actually say as opposed to what they do. Politicians will promise the world if they can get re-elected, but very few deliever.
Yeah, most likely media crazy rather than telling what they are going to do. They have goals they say but vague and poorly thought out solutions. Like Snyder-candidate for Governor of MI
i'm sorry for you friend but it doesn't matter if you vote republican or democrat, they all dance to the tune of religious fanaticism, america is waging a war on the middle east to bring the old testament to life. america is doomed unless it gives away all the hate as inspired by the old testament. things are going to get worse whether you are under the republicans or democrats because the war in the middle east is going to continue, exactly who do you think is paying for this war? YOU ARE!! you would be better off not voting for the two major parties because they are one of the same beast.
