Gene Simmons is as bad as Krusty the Clown for merchandising...

My kids had that show of his Family Jewels on one day and it was actually rather good. More of a spoof on being a rock star.

He is richer now then when Kiss was at the top of the heap thanks to his marketing skills.

    Good for him. :)

    Pretty cool!

Although, I'd rather have the Beatles lunchbox.

I though Gene Simmons was Krusty the Clown.

Anyway, there's nothing like sloppy guitar playing and sleazy merchandising to make oneself wealthy. :)

Good marketing tactics often don't sell the item but rather an image of what the item means to the buyer.

Like an ad for a fancy red sports car that a guy has and a cute blonde that's with him in it. It's not the car but the thought of getting a groovy date because of the car.

Likewise, trying to sell a trillion-dollar war to people because it will generate revenue for military contractors wouldn't garner much public support. It's better to try to sell the notion that security and peace of mind for the general public will be gained as a result of the war.
