it's still misleading. technically the definition of wholesome is related to healthy "promoting or conducive to good health or well-being; healthful"
i can't understand why people would eat that garbage in the first place... i seriously wouldn't give MDs to my fucking dog..
i seen a pigeon pass on a mcds french fry,,, I tried to catch the smartest pigeon in the world... But it got away.....
I've never had, or seen, a happy meal from McDonalds in my life. I've only ever even been in a McDonalds once.
I had a lot of Happy Meals as a kid. Seriously, my dad took me to Burger King to get a kids meal every single day while it was still open, then when McDonald's took over, I got a Happy Meal every day for quite a few years. I'm 5'1" and 115 pounds. I don't think you can blame America's childhood obesity problem entirely on McDonald's. It's a load of crap that the government is regulating putting toys with the meals, though, if you don't like McDonald's, fine, don't eat there, but it's no one's place to tell anyone else what they should and shouldn't consume.
Burger Chef introduced the first Happy Meal, I think. They called it a Fun Meal. Not sure if McD copied off of them or if they had the same idea but just brought it to the market later. .
Even if my parents had wanted to get me a happy meal... it would have been a 4 hour round trip to the nearest McD. So it wasn't gonna happen.
At The Dire Risk Of Dating Myself Here, I Think It Was The "Wimpy Burger" Chain That Started This Trend.... You Have 10 Seconds To Read This Post, Then It Will Explode, Never To Be Read Again.... Cheers Glen.
While I do think that there is better food to eat than MD's, I also think that this is totally bizarre. Here you can get apple slices instead of fries in any happy meal. I think this goes too far and the choice is not up to government to say what anyone should be eating. I wonder why in sports venues for kids they do not remove the concession stands, vending machines and energy drinks. If it was a matter of health there are many concerns that should be addressed.` Those need to be done by the parents not governments.
Going a little farther back... http://www.hulu.com/watch/2345/saturday-night-live-little-chocolate-donuts
Cereal is a little bit healthier than McDonald's. And cracker jacks...well, they don't give out anything good these days anyway.
I don't think anyone could deny that McDonald's in general is unhealthy for kids. True they offer some healthy aditives such as apples and milk instead of fries and sodas, but overall McD's is not the best choice. Either way, it should not be the gvt's choice to make, it should be the parents. And although I will agree many parents are completely ignorant of the health concerns facing kids these days, perhaps the time the courts are wasting on blaming McDonald's should be spent trying to better educate the public.
Seriously, picking on McDonald's is not going to make ignorant parents suddenly start cooking vegetables for their kids. Education is a much better way.
Agreed. I never thought on my youth I would spend as mucht ime defending corporations but n this case, there is a better way and the golden arches aren't to blame.
People love to blame anything other than themselves. Instead of saying "Oh, maybe it is my fault for not raising my kids to eat healthy" it is easier to just blame it all on outside sources.
I couldn't agree more. And damn, judging from all the typing errors in my last post I should stop responding to messages from my phone.
I havn´t eaten at mcdonalds in over a year, and don`t plan to anytime soon, but this is bullshit. If the government wants to stop kids from eating at mcdonalds, they should make it a requirement for public schools to show supersize me to the kids every couple years or something, not mandate what a buisness can and cannot sell. As a kid, I enjoyed happy meals, probably once a month. My parents weren´t stupid, and they let me eat trash in moderation. Pretty sure its up to every other parent to do the same, not the government.
