Sooooo stupid. I've been wanting to dread for a while and came across the dreadhead website and stupidly believed that their products are the best way to dread. Ordered the kit yesterday and already regretting it. To all the newbies looking to start dreads, DO YOUR RESEARCH first!
send it back.. get a refund.. and then read all the threads here :sunny: then post pics because we all wanna see!
When O was getting her dreads i looked online and most the info i found was from dread head or knotty boy. a few pages i found talked about other ways such as rubbing wool on your head untill you have a few large matts then ripp them appart and do it again and again and again. I didnt find anything about going natural, or even info about only back combing, everything said wax.
A lesson learned im sure..... and, not all of their products are unusable just so you know, just avoid the waxes etc... however i think they come with a good metal comb which will be good if your backcombing, some shampoo type thing, im pretty sure is ok, just ignore their other crap
I have the shampoo. Bought it when I first started aswell, it works fine. I wouldn't buy it again though, there's much cheaper options that work as good or better.
It cost like £28 - which is about the same in dollars I think? anyways I think I'll just keep it for the comb/shampoo. Thanks for the advise all. Can't post any pics yet :>
Twenty Eight Pounds, Is Roughly 56 Dollars Australian, Thats A Whole Bucket Full Of Monies.... Cheers Glen.
