This is a serious question, I had some trouble with this and I want to know if it looks normal. Also I strained this through some cloth after I finished it and all the fine gritty material that was collecting at the bottom (not seen here) is gone now, did I need that? Im looking for experienced opinions. Thanks!

Looks good, however the results are going to be in whatever you make with it. Good Luck.

Sorry, i'm posting from my Kindle right now so i can't see the color in the pic but from what i can vaguely make out, the texture looks good. I make "budder" pretty often bc i'm sketch about smoking often in my tiny, claustrophobic apartment building which is right down the street from the police station and my bf bitches about the smell if i don't have the place totally aired out by the time he gets home... so here's what i do:

take a quarter mids to a half tub of Earth Balance (i don't use dairy butter but obviously you can use whatever you want).. grind the herb, seeds, stems and all to a fine powder in coffee grinder, melt the EB in a double boiler (smaller pot inside a larger pot half filled with water) on medium heat, stir in the herb slowly for about 5 minutes then put on a lid and turn the heat down to low. at this point i check on it/stir it every 20 mins for anywhere from 3-12 hours. when i feel like it's done i pour it into a storage container and let it cool to room temp then put it in the fridge. i used to strain it through cheesecloth and you can if you want but ever since the one time i forgot to do it' i decided i like the flavor/texture better with the gunk left in tact.. it might even make it more potent or it could be placebo, it's hard to know but why take the chance of wasting any? the gunk will sink to the bottom so i stir it a few times while it's solidifying in the fridge.

this method never fails for me and always turns out a high quality, long lasting buzz when i make cookies or whatever with it. happy baking :)
