So I go to the doc today expecting the usual script for hydro.. thinking if I'm lucky maybe she'll give me some perc's. Pass the pharmacy on the way there and get all giddy, etc. So my doc pulls this crazy shit on me today where she wants to 'try' something new. I say, no.. I like what we've been doing and think it works great. Guess what I walk out of there with? Fucking Codeine. Seriously? When she said Codeine I wanted to jump off the table and just start beating the living hell out of her, and I can't act upset or she'll cut me off completely. Ugh.. better than nothing I guess but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
well why dont you tell her that the new shit makes you itchy and nauseas and doesnt relieve any pain?
^^^^^ what beatnick said.... Tell the doctor your having negative aide effects from the codeine. Try and get your hydros back but your doctor may be thinking about taking you off of opiates all together. Sometimes doctors will go down to a less potent opiate when slowly taking long term pain medication patients off of opiates. They do this if they feel you have been on them for too long, if they feel you no longer need them, and various other reasons.
