Tent cities

    I heard their were tent cities popping up throughout the states due to the economic recession. Is it true? I don't live in the states so maybe somebody can confirm this for me.

    seattle has had one for years. it always make the news when they have to move. usually in a church parking lot

    i was living in seattle untill about 4 years ago.
    yeah, tent city has been around almost forever in seattle.

    there was one here in san antonio untill about 4 months ago.
    the city came in and bulldozed it down.
    i understand a new tent city is going up here.

    Sounds cool to be a visitor for a couple days, after that I think I'd go visit another town. Don't wanna over stay my welcome :)

    Me and my man lived in one for a while, in Durango CO Horse Gulch... but since its unclaimed territory it got way shwagged out... but for a while it was tight :) Maybe 10 tents all in a circle a mile and a half up this mountain, fire in the center, always a half gallon of vodka and music :)

    Don't get drunk with homeless natives... dont get in fights with vets...vbeing the only kids give you status :)
