how do some of you with longer/medium dreads tie your hair up to look presentable besides just a ponytail? or what are some neat idea you have seen? pictures are more than welcome

Err, I'll try to explain Grab a hairband, get hold of your dreads and pull them through so you have a sort of bun shape with the ends sticking out the (left) side. Then tuck the ends back around to the right underneath. Get it?! Obviously you can do it either way around. I do this way because I'm right-handed I suppose. *Edit. Halfway stage looks like this. Then just tuck them back under and around the bun into the hairband. [/IMG]
i rock the bun frequently, but if I want to take a bath or lie in bed to read without it getting in the way i'll do a bun on the front/top of the head. Also been doing the loose ponytail, where you put all of them back in a pony tail, then tug a couple out slightly so it isn't super tight
I have pathetically short locks, which I'm about to cut anyway. But when I need, I put them in a ponytail, they've just managed to stay long enough, with shrinkage factored in (on the newer front locks) since about the 5-ish month mark. But it looks silly and points directly behind me. I was originally counting down to the point where I could tie a ponytail with no hairband... but now that's at least 3 years away, probably a lot more, given the imminent demise of this set.
I do the high-bun thing for mah baths too. Looks kinda funky I look like a pineapple. Loose pony tails are bitchin'. I pull my dreads quite tight when I want to put them up, so I have to drag them all back out a bit so it's comfy xD
