Dutch: Scratch & Sniff Cannabis to Snuff out Grows!

    The Dutch have launched a new "Scratch and Sniff" card campaign to wipe out illegal cannabis grows in the Netherlands. The cards, when scratched, give off the odor of a cannabis grow. They are being handed out to 30,000 Dutch citizens in Rotterdam so they can identify any grows in their neighborhood.

    Each of the 8-by-4 inch cards, bears the slogan "Assist in combatting cannabis plantations."

    Considering the Dutch are the ones who invented the "Big Brother" TV show, it's not hard to understand why the Dutch would be eager to rat on their neighbors. As the Netherlands turns more and more into a police state, with the right wing government now in power, expect much more along these lines...

    They haven't learned a THING from the Nazis - in fact so many Dutch were Nazi collaborators and never brought to justice.

    wtf.. where was this technology when i was a kid.. all the scratch and sniff stickers smelled like fruit or bubblegum!

    Cannabis is illegal in Holland, just tolerated. But it seems to be tolerated less and less there these days.

    The scene is not what it used to be when I lived there...

    you can thank the explosion of coffee shops and tourism brought in by the fact that is was tolerated.. but everyone going there thought, like most think, that it is legal there... i think they are cracking down because they don't want to deal with a lot of trash coming there because of their loose drug laws
