http://tinypic.com/r/2yn1fzt/7 (side view) The top of the stem is bent, so it's kind of hard to get a good representation of how it looked originally. I'll explain as best I can. http://tinypic.com/r/34pgeh4/7 (gills) http://tinypic.com/r/ws4i7c/7 (etc) So we went mushroom hunting for the first time. We've never ever tripped before. We only went because it was our only option to get any, no one here seems to know where to get them. But, these are the only ones that seem similar to others I've seen online. I wish I'd taken a picture of them before I picked them. I bagged them and brought them home and they were kind of mushed. They're tan to light brown. The tops look kind of slimy, and have lines that go vertically. It reminds me of an onion peel. They were floppy and came to a little bit of a cone, but not drastic. They're pretty big in circumference, about 6-7 Inches. The gills are not tiny, they're wide and bigger. They go out from the center. The stem and gills don't attach. The stem is only touching the center of the top. The stem from the bottom up seems to get thinner. These things are very top heavy. The stem is tanish to off white. The bruising doesn't look blue, just black. They kind of smell like shit. I found them attached to a rotted tree. I'm in the midwest USA. Please let me know. I won't eat them without word.
i dunno man. prob just random mushrooms. theres poisonous ones out there. dont look too much like anything ive ever tripped off of. personally i wouldnt eat them unless i knew for sure what they were
here's a guide i found with a quick google search: http://www.erowid.org/plants/mushrooms/safe-pik/safe-pik.shtml erowid is usually a pretty reliable source for drug stuff, but i've never used this or any shroom picking guide so there might be better ones out there.
i dunno man. i wouldn't eat 'em unless i talked to an actual expert i dont think liberty caps grow on wood either
just saw this: Erowid Note: The Safe-Pik Guide should not be used as a guide to pick mushrooms as there are now far better resources with larger, more detailed photos and more information about poisonous look-alikes. (May 2005) on that page i linked. best find a better guide
dont eat those.. Looks like some kinda Webcap.. you cant expect to have a proper ID with those pictures. Sorry
they look like they are fucking goo... i dont understand where people get off picking random ass mushrooms thinking 'hey i can trip off these, cant i?!'
I spent quite a bit of time researching the physical attributes of shrooms. I only picked these because they looked fairly similar to the aforementioned type I'd viewed. I just completely spaced it on taking the picture before picking it. I didn't claim to know anything, as I said I've never tripped before. I came here to get more info so I didn't kill myself.
most psychedelic/magic/ Psilocybin mushrooms do not gel up, melt or have gills of that nature... Them Gills are way to wide to be a psychedelic shroom..
im just saying... if you in fact DID do research youd see that they were goop/no good/rotting/disgusting mess you should know that FAIRLY SIMILAR can lead to DEATH, even LOOKS LIKE IT can kill you. you should know that psilocybin mushrooms dont bruise black (usually - unless I am mistaken) you should also know what kind of species you are specifically looking for, as certain ones grow in certain climates on certain types of substrate at certain times of the year. i'm not trying to be an asshole, i'm just trying to save the good peoples of mushroom eatin from being tainted by some d00d wantin to t0tallyy tr1ps some b4llz and eating a fungus that has him pissing out chunks of his kidneys
Yea man just buy some. Even then there's the chance that they are poisonous. But don't risk it with ones that you've picked. I had fun with that too when i was a junior in H.S. It's fun to pick them but i never tried them.
first off i would not eat those mushrooms. second if you 'literally' cannot find any shrooms to buy......um...then u suck :icon_bs:
totally not a psylocybe shroom. i have been pickin and eatin shrooms for a long time and i can tell you that your not going to find it off a stump of a tree.. atleast not down south. look in a cowfield if you are down south but remember that thanksgiving is the last day of the season pretty much ... well atleast in some parts of mississippi and louisiana... so your chances of finding shrooms around this time of the year in the south is slim to none.. you missed it by like a month...
eat them you'll trip real good you might even be lucky enough for them to play the lights and sirens song while you trip btw those are the grossest mushy rotten looking mushrooms Ive ever seen
