    but I like his early Mwandishi album.

    Herbie's made some amazing music...as leader for Blue Note in the 60s, and with Miles, along with his Mwandishi band, as you mention, and the subsequent trio of albums Headhunters, Man-Child and Thrust, which pretty much set the benchmark for Fusion.

    Headhunters made some hot groovin' shit. Thrust is one of my all time favorite records.

    There's a NEVE in A. I think D is an SSL but don't quote me. I actually recorded My last bands demo in A on the Neve.

    I love him. I like his acoustic stuff more, though. The work with the Miles Davis Sextet is unreal.
