I always used to have this feeling of guilt, feeling as if i was 'going off the rails', and everytime i did something i felt could be frowned upon i would always feel kinda bad...but when i was walking home this evening i had a sort of epiphany type idea. In sticking with the rail-road track analogy i realised that 'coming off the rails' doesn't imply setting out in a different path, it just means that there are no longer the linear constraints of being 'on a track' and always having to head in the same direction, bound by the same rules. If you aren't on the railroad track it doesn't mean you can't head where the train is going, it just means that you're much freer in your journey to the station, although you don't necessarily have to go to the station because you're no longer bound by the constraints of the track. Although you still have to be careful of getting lost.
Does this analogy make sense to anyone?

    I guess.
I've had moments like that before.
