I want to get one Flesh Hole in each ear, the only problem is i work in the food industry in a kitchen for the time being. For starters you need to wear the studs then the bullet type piercings i have a feeling they will have a problem with them as they may get caught, question is, can i take them out for the time i am at work, which is almost 3 hours a week, so not very long at all, or will it hurt when i put them back in? One they are all done i just plan on getting small holes not the large bullet type ones in their so i can just cover them up with tape. So if anyone who has had them done, is it ok to take them out for a couple of hours while at work, or would it ruin the process? Cheers.
I'm not sure what you mean. Like a dermal punch? - where they actually remove a specified circle of skin via a cookie cutter-type device? Or do you mean larger holes by stretching? If you mean a dermal punch, then no, removing the jewelry for even 3 hours a week during the healing process is not good. If your work will not allow you to keep the jewelry in for the entire healing process then don't get it done. Dermal punches (especially 6g and up) are pretty serious wounds that need proper healing time and conditions. You definitely do not want to run the risk of irritation and infection with dermal punches because... well, that's it, once they cut it that piece of skin is gone forever and you really want the fistula (the actual flesh "tunnel" of your earlobe) to heal up properly or you will end up with some nasty looking earlobes for life, not to mention lots of pain and discomfort through the healing process. Do not ever remove jewelry during healing. Not for an hour, not for a minute. If this is not possible then you should not go forward with the piercing.
Not a dermal punch, i think they are also called Gauges Piercings, i think there are a few names. But i guess you are right, i will wait.
