First time shroomin possibility?

So heres the deal, ima cronic pot smoker but my girl is talkin about us taking shrooms. im kinda skeptical cause i heard it can change your mind permanantly even after the trip. i just dont want her to change one bit and im worried if she trys shrooms it might make her want to move onto harder stuff. so plz help me out any info is appreciated.

 

Mushys aren't gonna change your brain loll it can give you new perspective on somethings. And the mushys aren't gonna make her wanna try harder stuff. Gateway theory has been debunked

 

So would u recomend doing them? cause i have an older friend and hes down to do them again i guess hes a veteran xD but he things i should like its a growing up experience you know what i mean?

 

probably 90% or more of the people in here enjoy taking mushrooms, so you are asking a biased group. of course we are gonna say to take them

it's not gonna change your brain from doing them a few times, but even one strong trip can change the way you think or change your perspective. most people would agree that it's for the better - you might feel a greater appreciation for nature or humankind or something like that.

smoking pot really has nothing to do with taking a psychedelic.

can i ask how old are you?

you don't need to take shrooms to grow up. and you could always take them in a couple years instead, if you don't feel ready.

What exactly is "harder"? Psilocybin is a pretty serious substance to begin with, it's not a toy. Most people don't go from experimenting with psychedelics to hardcore junkie and meth head so I wouldn't worry about that if that's what you mean. I guess it happens sometimes, but if she's smart she won't let it.

Shrooms don't permanently change your brain the way you're thinking it does. Like porkstock said, they will change your outlook/perspective and you will see life and everything in a new way, but again, it's usually for the better. If you don't feel it's right for you, then don't do it but if you're interested then go for it. You already smoke a bunch of weed, the next logical thing to do would be to eat some shrooms

from the few details you provide, it sounds like you are doing them for the wrong reason. if you don't really want to, then don't eat them just cuz your girlfriend wants to.

 

this guy is gonna eat an eighth of fire temples and become one with the universe and god and experience twelve hundred eternities of nirvanic bliss and pure opulence of pleasure ad infinitum.

I must disagree.

It USUALLY has no profoundly, instantly, brutally, world changing effects. (except for those who dislike it, have a bad experiance/panic attack, and stay away)

But it DOES fuck with your psyche, and while it can cause more traditional psychedelic effects, it changes you over the long term, changes the way you see things. Of course this by no means sums it up, but when I started smoking pot I thought I was as liberal as I could get, and everyone else pretty much agreed. Now, after almost 6 years of on-off (from very heavy to months sober) pot smoking, I'm on the molotov cocktail fringe of liberal, and see awful, ugly ironys and injustices I never did, that I never could have seen, even if it was an injustice upon me. Of course I've been growing up and it's not all the weed, but I do directly attribute a lot of my views and feelings to pot...

 

Shrooms have only ever done good things for me and my friends.
Eat atleast an 1/8 get a blanket lay under the stars and start asking questions, can't go wrong!

 

You are thinking very logically and dare I say correctly here. I can't say that I know one person who has tried pot and mushrooms and not experimented beyond that. Once you try a harder drug like mushrooms you kind of cross that socially taboo barrier and all of a sudden a whole range of things may start to appeal to her or you. You probably won't start shooting heroin but let's not talk about gateway because mushrooms along with other heavier drugs are the gate.
