i think ani defranco is a great music artist. She sings of life's battles and situations. She exposes herself in a beautiful, torchered way. She can sing like Bob Dylan or like Britaney Spears. Her vocal ranges seem endless. A quote from one of my favorite songs "some people wear a smile like a disguise...those people who smile a lot...watch their eyes." peace and <3
I think that if you sound like Britney Spears you're doing something very wrong. I haven't heard anything of Ani Defranco so I'm not to judge though.
I getta see her on the 7th! I'm still really curious as to what her show's going to be like this time around, and crossin my fingers to get backstage and meet her, finally! Great lyricist, and utterly amazing with that acoustic guitar...
yea, a lot of people...when i blast her in my car... people can't take it. my guy thinks she's the most annoying voice on the planet..and i recall someone calling 'her a lesbian on acid' She knows what she's saying. I have this recording of her talking about the twin towers,politics and world issues...She has a kind of 'fuck you' attitude about her beliefs and I respect her for that.
I love her poetry bits on tracks and in between. She has a certain sense of style and class about her. Gotta love it.
