Yeah the Wednesday nite market is cool! I hear Bailey's farmers market on Davis is opening back up soon too.
I'm glad you all are having a good time in the SE...or Florida...for although I like the weather most of the time...the natives Floridians...those raised above I-4...like in the Ocala area and such...I'm just not feeling them.... I mean I am, and yet I'm not...I mean in order to feel them, I have to step outside myself, and become some 'To kill a mocking bird' type person... Southern colonialism and being a free loving hippie, just don't mix very well... And if you wear the peace sign...I think the camoflauge wearing country boys think that's the 'gay' symbol... I'm from the Pacific NW...WA State...Nirvana country...totally different... And now I'm here...wow...how did I make that mistake... But actually, the Pennsicola areas, along the shoreline, and Tampa, and Oralndo and Daytona and all the coast...are pretty hip and modern...if you can afford to live there or visit... I just got trapped living in the 'Deliverance' (movie with Burt Renolds) areas for a few years...and my gosh...I became the target of every curious hillbilly out there...cause I had a base station...and would communicate with them... And they would communicate back and say the oddest things that i cannot repeat... Some of these country types in Florida are really primitave...again it all depends on where your at...
So I just moved to Destin from Houston, Tx. I don't know anyone out here and it just seems so redneck. No offense.. I guess. xD Atleast in houston they had hippie hangouts, like Last Concert Cafe and I could always drive up to Austin if I wanted, but they don't seem to have anything like that here. So does anyone around here want to meet up maybe? Become friends? Show me around?
Well you posted that about 2 weeks ago but lets try this Yeah i will hang out with you! I moved to destin from europe 5 years ago and trust me i had the same thoughts.. trust me there is lots of fun stuff to do so hit me up!
