I've read about it. Everyones opinion is that he used drugs to increase the ego. cocaine, amphetamines but he was into the occult and one guy was giving him the shrooms.
it's probably a combination. Don't mix cocaine and magic mushrooms, you can become a leader and kill half of the planet.

Eckart was known for using drugs, and that's how he gathered his first experiences. Most likely mescaline, but he was addicted to morphine his entire life. He read Nietsche and travelled to eastern countries. He was in the rehab in a psychiatry hospital, and he organized plays for crazy people there.
It is believed that Hitler used a lot of mescaline with Eckart!
