Sorry, but I'm a selfish bastard. I tend to measure the quality of my life against how good it could and should be, not against how bad it could be. As far as I know this might be the one and only chance I will get to experience what it is like to be alive in the great cosmic experiment, so naturally I would like to make the best of things.

I'm fucking sick of this shit. The same people who are and probably have already completely destroyed the human civilsation and any chance we might have had to evolve with the planet into a state of blissful existence are the same people who are currently preventing me from getting a smoke on these days, something that might make the slow and tedious decay of my life as I watch the only place I know in the universe that supports life fall apart that bit more bearable.

Actually it is much like Bermuda and Gibraltar are still very much a park of the United Kingdom. Originally Spain owned the islands, we won them in the Spanish-American war and then sold them to Germany. Following the peace treaty of WW1 they were given to Japan who was on the allied side, following WW2 the US took them back again. The country is part of the United States though, it's people are American citizens, it's head of state is Barack Obama. You don't need to be a state to be an American, ask Washington D.C., Guam, Peurto Rico, American Samoa, US Virgin Islands, and some other places.
