I think a great 'hippie job' would be a lawyer, environmentalist or a park ranger or something.... I work at a re-sale shop.. I would really like to work in a head shop.
At least you have the foresight to see that you need a plan- life can been a pretty long journey, I'm sure what seems hip now- like working in head shops, and trying to sell electric burrito,s at the next phish concert is very cool , but not really a long term plan. Being able to do shit like that means, mom&dad are most likely helping out- - That dont last forever,& -many arent so lucky to have it like that- ever. Your on the right path though looking for something you think is fun ,exciting, and rewarding.- -As you get older and need to help with supporting kids, paying to keep a roof over your head, and keep all the creature comforts your used too by now - like your cell phones and this computer,a car w/insurance, etc,,,,You are goin pray your doin something you enjoy- -many of us older hippies found that out the hard way lottsaluck jack hate to be a buzzkill man, life just gets in the way sometimes- - You dont have to give up hippie values- they,re internal-in your heart, mind, and soul:sunny:
Well i currently am working at a re-sale shop but i want to go into radiology. It is always great to think about the future instead of being another useless person.
Im a stand up paddleboard instructor. During the summer (March through September haha) Im outside everyday on the water telling people how to do one of the easiest things theyll ever do. This past summer was so fuckin ideal, next will be even better!
I work with disabled people. Helping others is great. The pay isn't fantastic but it is rewarding. Plus if you have a Medical Marijuana Patient for a client they will usually smoke you out. Peace Out, Rev J
Thats awesome. I was delivering a board for some guy that was renting, asked if I wanted to burn one. Dopest dope Ive ever smoked, some medical grade stuff from Colorado
being a registered nurse opens up a lot of doors. theres such a big nursing shortage that you would be able to find employment anywhere in the world. there are also travel nursing agencies that send you to various places for a few months at a time. travel + helping people= greatest hippie job ever farming holistic medicine making money off some kind of art. that takes years of dedication and perserverence and a certain kind of single minded focus, but being able to make a living from something you would do for free anyways definitely make the hard work worth it.
Law jobs are actually insanely hard to get right now because the market is so diluted. Apparently everyone with the money went to law school in the last twenty years thinking it would be a good investment and souped it down so now no one can get jobs.
