Indonesian maid tortured in Saudi Arabia

I saw this on the news yesterday. She went to Saudi Arabia to work as a maid and her employer mutilated her. Part of her top lip was cut off with scissors and she received servere cuts and burns from head to toe. She'll need plastic surgery to repair parts of her head. Why? Because she asked for her wages.

This is a sad statement of what people are capable of doing.

 

Eesh, and just two days ago Daniel was telling me about how he'd like to visit Maldives...but one of the connecting flights is in Saudi Arabia. Not to mention...flying over oceans...I may never leave America.

 

Its truely disgusting that this can happen in 2010. I read about another 41 yr old maid that was raped by the employers 18 yr old son repeatedly. He even gang raped her with 4 of his friends. The maid informed the mother and she offered her pills to stop her getting pregnant in the future. She escaped and the embassy paid for her flight home. The rapists walked without an arrest.

That is fucked up. I'm astonished by what I read abroad. Then theres the 6 to 2 yr old children, chained to basements in Cambodia and used for prostitution. WTF already. Why does the world turn a blind eye? Sometimes I mention it in random conversation and the person dosen't want to hear it. It goes straight under the carpet.

The powers that be are millitary and the Cambodian police force cannot usually intervene. If kids are rescued, they are comdemed by their own villages and classed as scum.

What if you were given 20 minutes alone with one of these rapists? What if you could do what you liked with them without being prosecuted? I'd have a fucking field day without an ounce of guilt

 

We should go to war with these bastard governments and stamp it out for good. I want to see this in my lifetime.

 

All of the aforementioned stories are so terrible. As Heat said it really is sad and it shows what SOME humans are capable of. 121, im with you, this stuff is SO fucked up. I cant even find words to type that would sufficiently articulate the sadness this shit brings me. Needs to stop. But will it ever?

 

We tried going to war against the Taliban and setting up a just and humane system in Afghanistan. What did that get us? Well, we did bomb some training camps where people were being trained to kill Westerners.

That's nice. But what else was accomplished? An Afghan man who decided that he wanted to become a Christian was convicted of heresy and an Afghan court (in the current US-supported government) sentence him to death. Thankfully the Italian government gave him refuge and he escaped on some kind of insanity plea.

 

Hi, I don't think they are 'human'. They are subhuman. If they were born in better circumstances then maybe they would know not to inflict the torture they have done. It is how it is though. It bites me when children are under this shit. Who knows how brilliant they actually are. Who knows what they had to offer the rest of the world? How can a person predate on children physically to quench their bastardized perversions?

I'm just typing my drunk self into a hole here. I might just go ahead and devote a part of my future business into funding refuge for the innocent victims. This will achieve nothing in the long run. The key is to hit the problem hard and fast.

Sadly, this will not be achieved in our lifetimes. I can't beleive that we know what we know today and still 95% of the population still are retarted enough to follow backward religions, written when people thought the world was flat.
