Loved this movie... Havnt seen a good movie since "Abiding Citizen" and "Curious Case of Benejim Button" Movies been so bad, I dont even bother to watch any of them. This one goes on my top list. Directors needs to make more of these, instead we get filled with stupidity and non-sense.
I realize this thread is a bit old, but i saw Inception when it came out in theaters. I thought that it was OK. There was so much hype surrounding the movie that i was a bit let down when i saw it.
I really didn't have much expectations when I saw this. I figured it would be a good movie and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a great movie. I look forward to buying this one on DVD that's for sure.
Average flick, the editing worked against all the dynamics. No mind fukk at all, the mind fukk film of the year was Gaspar NoƩ's "Enter The Void", hours of creepy DMT trip influenced porn.
I didn't like this movie. I felt DiCaprio's part was almost the same as in Shutter Island. I thought it was meaningless and boring. The South Park episode about the movie was done better. After I watched the movie I found myself saying, "Who cares?" It didn't even entertain me.
I just watched it and I loved it. The reason why I like films like these is they're a rush of complete pure adrenaline. In a way, the way they act upon the human mind is like a drug and I like the high they produce.
Loved this film, it really made me think. I agree, Shale, a second watch would really do it justice. I felt lost in the world it created and I really enjoyed it. I thought some of ideas in the film (like the idea of time slowing down so dramatically in dreams within dreams) was cool. If you like this film, I hope that you've got round to seeing Waking Life and Paprika. Both great films about lucid dreaming.
If you like these films check out Memento, it's also by the director of Inception (Christopher Nolan) and is a great film about memory.
i absolutely loved this movie. i'm dying watch it again. next month, i am buying a DVD of this. love Inception.
"Waking Life and Paprika" - are they two movies or one? i love topics like these and i want to watch more and more of it. waiting for your answer.
I watched this tonight. It was good, the acting was a little bad for a minute or two, the subconscious aspects of the plot were interesting and decent given the amount of time they were given. It seemed like it was a little rushed when summing up the conclusion. It's definitely a movie that should be watched more than once though in order to appreciate it. The first time can be somewhat of a blur at times.
great movie...gonna watch it again tonight....i was smoking last night and found that i had to watch several scenes twice to keep up lol....i sorta guessed the ending halfway through though and was not surprised when it happened
it was pretty good, i liked it... but it was disappointing to me that it didn't try to go further away from reality... i would have liked to see more weird dream surrealism in it...
