Oh, I love my gravity bong. For several months, I was super broke and I was trying to be a little more conservative with my weed. . . using a gravity bong seemed to be the best way for me to do it. I used to roll huge joints all the time and smoke a few of those per day, but when money got tight, I had to figure out a way to make it last longer and still smoke every day. I'm in a financially better spot now, but I'm so used to using the GB, that that's generally how I do it these days.
In the trash, whenever I make them it's only temporary as it means I have no regular bong at hand in the first place lol
I broke my really nice five-year-old bong about a year ago. I don't want to just buy any ol' bong, so I'm saving up for this really bad ass bong that I am going to get from one of my local head shops. I am only a hundred dollars away from completing my purchase. . . which may take about five more months from now to finally get, lol. Hm. I've never thought about it that way before. I can see where you're coming from, though. It is nice to have nice things, and I will have nice things again one day. It sucks being broke. My gravity bong does the trick for the time being. It gets the job done and that's the whole purpose of it.
I used to use grav bongs/buckets a few years ago, but now I'll only hit one if there isn't a real piece in the area (unless the grav bong is all glass...that changes things). They just ruin the taste of the weed with plastic and aren't very healthy. We had 7 bongs in my apartment in the summer (3 of them valued more than $500/ea) and people would still come over and ask "wheres the bucket at man?"
I hear ya. I would much prefer a nice expensive glass bong, too. In fact, I always have. It'll have to wait, though. My money has to go to other things first right now.
