Bonnaroo and Moe.down 2005

Doe snayone know theline-ups for moe.down and bonnaroo this year...i tried to look it up but couldn't find anything. Thanx! Love you all~Cait

 

its a bit early for bonnaroo...just keep checking out their site. moe.down i'm not so sure about. thinin about checkin it out this year though!

 

im not sure about this year but i remember both of those festivals to be awesome!!! i think those were my favorite festivals of the summer. i hope to go again next year

I'm not ever going to Bonnaroo again... it's just going to get worse. But it was alright while it lasted... I'm gonna hit Smilefest next year, I think. It's cheaper.....

 

i've heard nothing but good things about smilefest. i also heard keller williams plays it. maybe i'll check it out this summer!!!!

Smilefest WAS great...

Smilefest has been infiltrated by the authorities...

It will be different this year...Most likely in a different state, or under a different name...

Troubles at the last two Smilefests have resulted in a lot of peaceable hippies being arrested in their TENTS...

The North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agency (ALE) is corrupt, and "aware" of the scene associated with Smilefest. Until Smilefest goes "private" again (which will never happen), the authorities will be there every time they try to have it...

Go to Mannerland in the meantime...Check out www.barefootmanner.com to see what the Mannerland vibe is all about...

Same vibe... Smaller crowd... More intimate... And PRIVATE...

Private fests are the way to go... Especially if you live in North Carolina.

moe.down '04's line up wasn't released in full until a few weeks before the festival

I don't know if I want to get ticks for bonnaroo right away, or after they release the line-up. I don't want my ticket jacked up in price, but I don't want to go if all the dumb pop and punk bands take over since MTV is going to be there next year.

MTV???!!! At Bonnaroo?? NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why god why? Thats awful. I can't immagine Bonnaroo with a more mianstream crowd. I can't believe that the festival would allow MTV to go there, thats fucked up.

By the way... Does anyonw know when the 2004 DVD is comming out? When were the other years DVDs released?

 

I heard that MTV might be there a while ago on these forums. Is this just a rumur or are they really going to be there. If they are then that will be one less festival ill be going to.

also...bonnaroo was too stressful for me last year. no thanks for a repeat. but now it's winter and time for hibernation and seeing bands who come to me.

 

I heard that MTV is going to be at bonnaroo too, I don't believe that the festival would actually let them come though, that is so messed up.

 

i too was interested in the release of the dvd the following is the response i got from the email service it was recieved on dec 3

STOP posting about moe. down!!! It is a small good festival, lets keep it that way=)

As for 'Roo, that has gone to sh!t--too many custies going there, and just plain ruining the whole scene.

 

well... This is an "Events and Festivals" forum so... What? You expect people to not talk about festivals here?

 

MTV was at Roo this year. It was MTVU (MTV University). So yeah they were there all right. MTV never misses a chances to ruin something good.

Also about no letting them through.........well the people who put together Bonnaroo are trying to get as much publicity as possible because they want more people to come. So I wouldnt be suprised if MTV2 or just MTV was there in 2005. So if you havnt gone yet you better go next year before it turns in Woodstock 94.

 

moe.down is getting bigger and bigger, no doubt about it, and theres no hiding it anymore because there is no more huge phish festival... so where are alot of people gonna head niext. moe. is growing, i see alot more phish fans around at the scene than i ever have.... oh well though, new people to chill with!

i dunno, i just could never get into moe. myself... a little too non-energetic to me... but you guys have plenty of fun, these kind of fests are the way to go.

 

oh god if MTV was at bonnaroo i would go there just to protest. haha. i didnt think it was that bad of a fest, except for all the DMB fans
